Just a quick little blurb to contribute something, since reviews are again falling behind on my front. ^_^;
The trailer (which can be seen here) for both Deathly Hallows films, the grand finale in the Harry Potter film franchise, is out now, and I have to say, it looks INCREDIBLE. But, the last so many films have been nowhere near as good as their book counterparts, where-as the first three (Azkaban in particular) were at least of a similar caliber. And let's not get started on the travesty of Goblet of Fire's film adaption. With any luck, this one won't fail to disappoint though. I have yet to see any of these films in theaters, but I hope to do so with both of these.

Should be "Azkaban". ^_^'
In my dreams, they would have brought Alfonso Cuarón back to direct the final two films, but oh well. I think this should be good. Two films to not only cover all the material, but to put their own spin on things is what I'm expecting. I felt a bit bittersweet after ending the final book, but also a bit frustrated at how things seemed to randomly pop up. Maybe it's because my memory of earlier books wasn't so good, but it kinda irked me that stuff just seemed to appear because it was convenient to resolve a plot line.
And you haven't watched any of these movies in theaters? Do they even have theaters in Arkansas? :P
I ended up watching all of the movies on Blu-ray over the last few days and I'm looking forward to the final movies. It is a shame that some of the movies cut too much stuff out but oh well.
@braves - Fixed. ^_^
That would have been my pick too. Cuarón remains the only director for this franchise to put new stuff into the film that actually made the author wish she'd had them in the book. My second pick would have been bringing Chris Columbus back on board...but ah well. I liked the last book more than most it seems, but yeah, a lot of it did seem to come out of nowhere compared to how well everything else in the story was set up.
And yes, we have theaters. Just a drive-in in my town though. ^_^;
@AstroNerdBoy - I've been holding back on re-watching all the films until I can watch all 8 together. I've still yet to back-track and re-read all seven books back to back though. ^_^;
